Kildahl House began as a vision shared between neighbors.
This once-troubled four‑plex — long known for frequent emergency calls and little community value — was an eyesore in West Dundee’s historic district. But we saw something different: a 19th‑century farmhouse with the potential to become a meaningful part of the neighborhood again.
In collaboration with our longtime friends and neighbors, Dave and Mary Jo Pape, we reimagined the property as Kildahl House, an intimate boutique lodging experience designed to feel like home while celebrating the house’s historic charm.
Today, Kildahl House isn’t just a lodging option — it’s proof that small, thoughtful projects can transform a property’s narrative and contribute to a neighborhood’s renewal.
